NOW HIRING!

We Need You

The Ponderosa FD seeks to develop and implement the Ponderosa Fire District Community Emergency Response Team (PFire-CERT). We need a foundation team to establish PFire-CERT and attend a SECOND meeting at Headquarters, 17061 Rolling Creek, in the Ponderosa subdivision on December 8, 2011 at 7 pm.
This is our second exploratory meeting to identify the potential PFire-CERT organization and forward plan. We are asking for committed individuals to attend from the following subdivisions; Inverness Forest, Northview, Willow West, North Forest, Westador, Ponderosa, Cypresswood and Cypressdale.

A Community Emergency Response Team is critical to our area in that emergency services may be stressed past the breaking point during disaster type situations. I believe we have the talent and the commitment within our fire district to create PFire-CERT, so I ask you to visit the Harris County CERT website for further information; www.harriscountycitizencorps.com and click on the CERT button.

We are planning our first training session on January 25, 2012 at Ponderosa FD Headquarters beginning at 7 pm.

Please contact me at fwindisch @ ponderosavfd.org or 281-444-8465 if you are interested in serving on the team.
